Walked in because the place we’d been directed to across the street was closed. The food and service were both amazing! The woman who greeted us and took our order had such attention to detail that she didn’t ask but noticed I didn’t use any cream and so didn’t bring any with my second cup—I didn’t have to tell her not to bother. We are midway through our trip (visited Montreux and Bern) and we both said this was the best breakfast we’ve had on the trip so far! Highly recommend! And easy parking as there is a lot right next to the restaurant.

We enjoyed both soups. The daily which was a barley soup and vegetable crème served daily. The parking is difficult but worth the walk from any distance. Very traditional Swiss. Super healthy and high end. The price reflects the quality and you can enjoy a great veiw in the well lit full glass building. Central location makes it great for locals and tourists but the hometown feel and wonderful service makes it a great experience all around. It’s a kiss the chef kind of place so keep your wives in the dining hall!

We had lunch here. The food (schnitzel, macaroni und cheese, and salat) were excellent. Our hostess was delightful. Close to public parking as well.

We were two people and absolutely loved it. One of the first things we appreciated was that it was open during a time of year when many restaurants in the area are closed. We arrived around 2 PM and, even though it was outside the usual lunch hours, they still offered hot food. The owners run the place themselves: he cooks and she takes care of the guests — and she is absolutely lovely, while he is also incredibly friendly. The chef even came out to check if everything was fine. We ordered a Bündner Gerstensuppe that, I must admit, was even better than the one my mom used to make. We also had Kalbsgeschnetzeltes Zürcher Art with Rösti, which was excellent as well: tender meat, crispy rösti, and a delicious sauce. We only stopped by for a small bite and ended up happily surprised. The atmosphere is warm and homey, and the attention from the owners is fantastic. They even gave my little dog a treat and some water so she could enjoy her time there too. They also offer two lunch menus that both looked so good it was hard to choose between them. I will definitely be coming back.

Friendly service and great food cooked and served by the owners. We had Swiss rösti and beer. The interior is welcoming, the name of the place origins from the fountain in front of the house.

Fantastic. A short walk from the tourist part of Interlaken, but well worth it. Small family owned restaurant and you can tell they’re proud of the food they serve. Our server was very friendly and she gave us suggestions on what to eat when we asked what her favourite things on the menu were. The mushroom schnitzel was phenomenal, the rösti was delicious, and the cordon bleu schnitzel was amazing. The prices were fair for what you got. Would absolutely suggest eating here.

Amazing food and such a lovely experience! The owner welcomed us so warmly, helped us pick our dishes, and checked in to make sure everything was perfect. The food itself was incredible and honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Interlaken!

We randomly discovered the restaurant after a long day of sightseeing. It was a wonderful experience. Very warm welcome by the owners and excellent food. We discovered the delicious homemade Röstis. A great stop in Interlaken.
